ASSESSMENT PROCESS

Stages of Assessment

Registration & Initial Data Submission

The first stage of the La Tofi ESG Rating process begins with registration and the submission of initial data. This stage serves as the entry point for all participants—whether corporations, SMEs, State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), or local governments—to introduce their organizational profile before the ESG assessment proceeds further.

The primary objective of this stage is to obtain a comprehensive overview of the participant’s identity and characteristics. By understanding who they are, the sector in which they operate, and the geographical areas that serve as their operational base, the assessment process can be carried out with greater precision and contextual relevance.

The data required at this stage includes:

Entity Name

The official name of the organization or institution to be assessed, for example, PT Energi Hijau Nusantara or Bandung City Government.

The legal classification of the entity, such as:

    • SOE (State-Owned Enterprise)
    • Private company
    • SME (Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise)
    • Local government (city/district level)

The organization’s main line of business or operational focus. Examples include: energy, manufacturing, agriculture, financial services, or tourism. This information is essential to ensure that the ESG assessment reflects the specific context of each sector.

The primary geographic location of the organization’s operations, such as a province or city. For instance, a mining company in Kalimantan will inevitably face different environmental risks compared to a service-based company in Jakarta.

Information of the designated representative responsible for the assessment process, including name, position, email address, and phone number. The PIC serves as the primary liaison between the assessment team and the participating organization.

By completing this registration stage, each participant establishes a clear baseline profile. This profile becomes the foundation for all subsequent stages—ranging from local risk mapping (LRMI) to strategy evaluation and field verification.
